Thomas Müller

Thomas Müller, born in 1956 in Basel (Switzerland), studied horn at the Basel Orchestral School with Joszef Brejza, and at the Essen College with Hermann Baumann.  Since 1982 he has been instructor of natural horn at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, also teaching at the College of Music and Theater in Bern and at the College of Music in Frankfurt.  His musical activities cover a wide spectrum, from the Baroque repertoire, through the Classic, to the Modern.  Much of this is documented on CD's and in radio recordings. Thomas Müller collaborates with renowned ensembles and conductors (René Jacobs, Jordi Savall, Freiburger Barockorchester, Tafelmusik, Concerto Köln, etc.).  Moreover, he used to be principal horn of the Bern Symphony Orchestra and is still has the same job at the Zurich Chamber Orchestra.  He also got a price at the International competition of natural horn in Bad Harzburg (Germany) in 1984.
